History has been made as the University of Ghana Debate Society have advanced to the finals of the 2018 edition of the Pan African Debate Championship (PAUDC18).
The Pan African Debate Championship, which is being held in Zanzibar, Tanzania begun on 4th of December 2018
The tournament offers debaters from various tertiary institutions across the continent the opportunity to battle for supremacy.
This year, Team Ghana comprising of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Debate Society and the University of Ghana Debate Society had members representing for adjudication, public speaking and debating.

For the first time in a long while, University of Ghana has advanced to the grand final, competing with fellow Ghanaian team, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Also at the grand final are the University of Free State, South Africa and Midland State University, Zimbabwe
