The Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has advertised that it is accepting applications from persons for appointment as Assistant Lecturers and Lecturers at the Department of Environmental Management Technology.

TEACHING  POSITION

FACULTY OF BUILT AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (FBNE)

A person seeking an appointment as Lecturer must:

  • Have been appointed as Lecturer in the relevant discipline in a public tertiary institution or a duly accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere;
  • Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
  • Have completed National Service.

The acquisition of appreciable industrial experience or skills in Competency-Based Training (CBT) will be an added advantage.

Note: Membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.

  1. ASSISTANT LECTURER

A person seeking an appointment as Assistant   Lecturer must:

  • Possess a research Master’s degree in the relevant field of specialization,
  • Have completed National Service.

The acquisition of appreciable industrial experience or skills in Competency-Based Training (CBT) will be an added advantage.

Note: Membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage. The Assistant Lecturer position is a temporary one for a period of two (2) years and renewable for a further period of two (2) years only, and may terminate unless the applicant registers for and obtains a terminal degree.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties and responsibilities of successful candidates shall include teaching; research, technology adaptation, innovation and publication; curriculum development; setting and marking of assignments and examination questions; invigilation of examinations; submitting of marked scripts and results; supervision of students’ project work, dissertation and thesis; offering academic counselling to students; assisting in the administration and mentoring of junior colleagues, extension work and /or service to the University and nation and any other related duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or his/her representative.
