Master Adu Baah Charles is the first SRC president-elect who in the history of KNUST student’s elections won with much more than 50% margin; a whooping 65.90%, an 11,225 votes out of 17,09 total vote cast.

“I believe that this is the first time that we’re having an SRC presidential candidate winning the election with much more than 50% percent margin and I believe that this to me is a true representation of the students and that I believe when the SRC president speaks the student body will recognize that its a true voice of the them and that they will stand with him,” he said.
He further assured students that his administration will enhance effective and timely flow of information from the SRC to students, trusting the General Secretary-elect, Serwaa Akoto Miriam to do a great job in that regard.

According to him, never again are KNUST students going to have an SRC that is distanced from the students body.
I can assure students that there is going to be a great deal of flow of information, there is going to be a great deal of communication so whatever happens in the SRC, they’re going to know and we’ll get close to the students extremely and get to know what happens in the student body,” He stated.
“Never again are we gong to have an SRC that distances itself from the student body and only comes closer to the students only during elections. In the next 8 months, we’re going to have an SRC that is bounded by duty,” according to Adu Baah Charles.
