DATE: WEDNESDAY, 12th DECEMBER 2018
SUBJECT: USAG CONGRATULATES KNUST AND UNIVERSITY OF GHANA
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
USAG, on behalf of all University Students in Ghana  congratulates KNUST for a well deserved victory in the biggest intercollegiate debate and public speaking championship in Africa, Pan- African Universities Debate Championship. It is indeed an honor for all universities not only in Ghana but also in West Africa entirely.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology put up a captivating performance and emerged winners of the tightly contested  Universities Debate Championship in Africa affectionately known as PAUDC. This year’s competition was held at University of Dar Salaam, Tanzania.
Out of the 160 speakers from the 40 top African Universities,  KNUST “walks Away with the trpony”. Boakye Nyamekye Isaac and Erasmus Segbefia represented and won the trophy for KNUST and Ghana.
Overall, the performance of KNUST debaters was historic. No participating University in the history of Ghana and the whole of West Africa had ever won the Pan-African Universities Debate Championship  (PAUDC) and we hold this in high esteem.

USAG equally congratulates University of Ghana for making it to the final stage of the competition. Even though they couldn’t emerge ultimate winners, they contributed marvelously in raising the image of our universities and country at large. USAG also congratulates the
Ghana Universities Debate Association Council for effectively discharging their duties to ensure this victory for Ghana.
USAG encourages and supports  intellectual and argumentative literacy and we hope to see more universities in Ghana participating in the 2019 edition of the Pan- African University Debate Championship (PAUDC) which will be hosted in KNUST.
Once again Congratulations to team KNUST for the big win.
