Security Alert to KNUST Students

Security Alert to KNUST Students

We are still in the exams period. A period when students are excessively exhausted and can sleep while holding their books and may not even think of loccking their room doors. A period that we are likely to stay out late in study rooms and walk through the night to our hostels. This is the moment a foolish thief is looking for, and getting ready to rob students of the very gadgets they need most to prepare for the exams.
Three students have had their 3 laptops stolen today at Mass hostel although the room was locked. Kindly Contact Desmond Baah on: 0501542070 or campus security upon suspicion.
The SRC Security and Safety Unit has also confirmed reports about students being robbed during the night on their way to their hostel. Students are therefore advised to be security conscious.
Students need to take notice of their environment and be vigilant to be able to detect the presence of strangers in their hostels and halls of residence to avoid falling victims to colleagues or criminals. Students should also patronize the free night shuttles.
