Team KNUST, represented by Erasmus Segbefia and Boakye Nyamekye Isaac, has made the country proud in Tanzania after winning the 2018 edition of the Pan African Debate Championship (PAUDC18).
This victory, is not only the first for the Kumasi-based school, but also for first for West Africa and Ghana.
The tournament, which was held in Tanzania, saw debaters from various tertiary institutions across the continent battle it out for supremacy.

Despite facing stiff opposition from country rival Ghana and fellow debaters from the University of Free State, South Africa and Midland State University, Zimbabwe, team KNUST managed to come out victorious.

Meanwhile, Team UG, managed to sweep away 5 medals from the tournament.
Isaac Boakye also emerged as the Best Speaker for the entire tournament. Other awardees for Top 10 speakers included:
