National Enactus Competition: KNUST opts out of 2021 competition

The annual Enactus National Competition held to select a Ghanaian representative for the Enactus World Cup contested by various countries all over the world is scheduled to commence on 22nd July, 2021.

The 2020 national champions, Enactus KNUST, have decided to opt out of the 2021 national championship.

This was made official in a statement by the current president of Enactus KNUST, Mr. William Abrefa on 21st July 2021.

The 2020 National champions have won the competition on five occasions with four of those in consecutive years from 2017-2020.

The 2021 version of the competition is scheduled to take place at Mensvic Hotel, Lagos Avenue-Accra.

The main reason put forward by the current president for such a decision is that certain events have occurred that are beyond the control of the team which have affected their ability to contest fairly.

Even so, Enactus KNUST will attend the event only as an observing team.
