The 2019/ 2020 SRC administration has seen its tenure ebb to a close on Thursday, August 6, 2020. The immediate past ABC-led SRC administration handed over to the Interim Students’ Representative Committee in a brief ceremony held yesterday.

The handing over ceremony was graced with the presence of the Dean of Students (DOS), Prof. Wilson Agyare and his vice, Dr. Otchere-Addai Mensah.

The DOS in his short address to the gathering touched on time consciousness and also the brevity of the tenure of the ISRC.

He commended the outgone SRC administration on strides made in their one year stay in office their tenure towards students welfare. He touched on the acquisition of an office for the SRC Secretariat and the building of a bus shed at the bus stop located at the Casely-Hayford building on KNUST-Kumasi Campus. These he described as the most notable of all their achievements as an SRC administration.

The DOS of students was keen on the brevity of the tenure of the ISRC. He thus admonished them to work swiftly and efficiently in executing their mandate of student representation and organizing of elections. To reiterate the acute need for performance of the ISRC, he chipped in a readiness and willingness to replace the committee’s members should they fail to perform to expectation.

The ceremony was climaxed with a vote of thanks from the General Secretary for the ISRC, Ms. Adriana Cornie. She expressed their willingness to work assiduously to execute the mandate bestowed on them.
