The College of Art and Built Environment Students Society on Saturday, July 10 will inaugurate its Senate ahead of the commercement of the first sitting of the first session of the first CABESA Senate.
The event will come off at the College Conference room between the hours of 14:30 to 17:30 GMT.
The Senate count as one of the many outstanding feet chalked by the Kwame Takyi led administration.
The College of Art and Built Environment Students’ Association (CABESA) on Sunday, June 13 2021 announced the nomination of Mr. Malik Halid as the first Senate Speaker of CABESA.
The Leadership of the College through its parliamentarians of the 12th SRC Parliament on May 19, filed a motion for the approval of the creation of the senate.
Mr. Malik Halid until his nomination had served as a 3-time member of FABESS Parliament.
Within his service period, he doubled as the first and second Deputy Speaker in the 3rd and 2nd houses respectively.
Halid, before his nomination served as the Chief of Staff for CABESA.
The formation of the senate would create a bigger policy and law-making platform which will ensure the smooth running of students’ affairs in the College, Mr. Kwame Takyi emphasized.
