Following the mishappenings that ensued the KNUST SRC vetting on Saturday, management of the University indicated it will institute a committee to thoroughly probe the disturbances.
The University Relations Officer, Dr. Norris Bekoe has on Monday, July 5 noted that students identified to have destroyed school properties will be dealth with.
Speaking to an Kumasi-Based morning programme, Luv Fm in the morning, he submitted, an advoc committee has been set-up to thoroughly probe the disturbances and put forward recommendations to prevent similar incidents from reoccurring.
He further indicated that the committe is expected to complete its findings within 2 – 3 weeks.
Speaking on the rampaging students, Dr. Norris Bekoe explained that students identified in the said distruction will be dealth with.
According to hypercitigh.com report on the vetting proceedings, the feuding groups destroyed school properties, including chairs, flowerpots, and glass doors.
In recent years, KNUST has rusticated students indulged in acts of violence, distruction of school properties, sexual assault amongst others in line with its student guide.
Meanwhile, the University authorities has assured parents and stakeholders that it will continue to provide a safe and secure environment for academic work on campus.
