Hall President fingered in 4.2k accommodation scandal; allegedly names top University officials

Pending official probe, Univeristy Hall president master Martin Darko Dankwa has been said to have dubiously extorted a sum of Ghc 4, 200 from some hall executives.

According to a petition addressed to the Hall master by some concerned executives on April 18, 2021, the hall president allegedly requested these executives to make respective payments between Ghc 100 – 500 to secure Hall accommodation.

The Hall president is said to have demanded the respective amounts beween November 2020 to January 2021.

The amount allegedly extorted was to ‘settle’ some top University officials to secure accommodation.

According to the petition, University officials at the Hall and UITS were the conduits to obtain clearance to lodge at the hall for the academic year.

Also, the officials at UITS needed the said amounts in order to input their respective names in the database to qualify as hall occupants.

The petition signed by the 14 executives have requested for a refund of monies extorted by Friday April 23, 2021.

Hypercitigh.com gathers that the Dean of Students and Hall Master were respectively served copy of the petition on Monday, April 19, 2021.
