H.E Nana Addo gives hope to Conti-Katanga Alumni

The conversion of Conti-Katanga into mixed sex halls has been subjected to several debates. The decision has not sunk well with Alumni and students alike of these traditional halls. Several attempts have been made to reverse the decision taken by the University Council prior to the eventual conversion.

The Alumni resulted to legal battle seeking an interlocutory injection to resist any attempts to place females into these halls, demonstration was also held in Accra and Kumasi to wage war against the decision but had proved futile.

Latest of these attempts has to do with the Alumni of Katanga when they meet with His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuofo-Addo at Ghana’s Embassy, Washington DC

Nana Addo, upon his visit was welcomed by an overwhelming men in yellow, responded accordingly to the plea meted out.

His Excellency Nana Addo “The action is relative. I have asked the minister of Education to take the matter back to the University Council of KNUST for the council to look at this matter again as soon as possible.””
This has sort, breathe new life into the fight of reversing the decision of management.
