Fufulso Junction Accident: Only One Staff Of The University Was Involved – KNUST URO Issues Disclaimer

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has finally cleared rumours about a terrible accident between Fufulso/ Junction and Domeabra in the central Gonja of the Savannah region.

The accident which was reported by several online news portals stated that the driver of the said Landcruiser with registration number GV 785-14 passed on leaving two of its occupants (Alex champion, Lecturer, KNUST) and Anita Andrews in critical conditions.

However, several checks and queries from our media outlet (campus360gh.com) revealed that only one of the accident victims was a Staff of the university.

The University Relations Officer, Dr Daniel Norris Bekoe in his address of the incident to various campus media blogs and students journalists of the university stated that the lady is not a staff of the university, however, both were on national assignment at the instance of the National Accreditation Board when the sad incident happened.

Dr. Daniel Norris further revealed that the Vehicle in question does not belong to KNUST since registered vehicles belonging to the institution start with the code (0934).

He went on to clarify that checks from the Doctors revealed that the two are in stable condition and are currently receiving necessary medical care.

So far Doctors say X-rays showed no fractures nor organ damage” he added.
