The teams that participated in the competition included the Catholic University College, University of Ghana and University for Development Studies, Navrongo, as well as the University of Professional Studies, Accra. The rest were the University of Mines and Technology, KNUST, and the Ho Technical University.
After going through the competitive league stage of the competition, four teams made it to the final round of the competition with the teams from KNUST emerging as the national champions.

The teams from the Catholic University College, the University for Development Studies and the University of Ghana placed second, third, and fourth respectively.
Meanwhile, the national champions, Enactus KNUST, will advance to the 2018 Enactus World Cup event at the Silicon Valley, California in the United States of America from October 9 to 11.
The outgoing Enactus country leader, Mr Baba Sayuti, also urged the participants to remain dedicated to their various projects even though the competition had ended.

He noted that the essence of the competition was not only to select a winner to represent the country at the global stage but to essentially affect society positively with their various projects.

The Minister for National Security, Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, who delivered the keynote address, called on the youth to take advantage of the numerous programmes and policies being implemented by the government to enable Ghana become economically independent.
He said as part of measures to encourage entrepreneurship among the youth, the President had promised tax incentives for entrepreneurs below 35 years to support their various projects and businesses.
New country leader
The new country leader of Enactus Ghana, Nii Bortey Kofi Frankwa II, who was introduced to the various teams for the first time at the event, said the KNUST team which would represent the country at the 2018 Enactus World Cup event in October, would be guided by experienced mentors to prepare them for the global stage.
“They will have to remain disciplined and loyal as we prepare to annex the ultimate award at the 2018 World Cup,” he said.
He explained that every year the various teams were tasked to embark on an educational project that solely sought to solve the economic, social and environmental issues of students, the academia and the business community in the country. He, however, called on the government to support the team as it took on the world at the World Cup competition to bring glory to the country.
