The KNUST SRC Parliament has on wednesday, May 18 2021 at its first sitting of the semester approved the Union of Non-Residential Constituencies (UNRC) constitution.
The approval of the constitution signifies the creation of two new constituencies within parliament and the restructuring of the previously existing constituencies.
The UNRC is a section of parliamentarians who represent students in residential facilities on and off campus.
According to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Christian Anderson, each Constituency will now have an appointed tutor who will work directly with the various Mps, specifically towards adopting and implementing projects and policies which will solve problems with off-campus security for our huge off-campus population.
This takes the number of non-residential constituencies to seven under the non-re caucus, 2 more than the previous composition.
