#UGDecides: I feel honoured to be the only female in the Presidential race – Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh



Presidential Aspirant of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh has expressed her thoughts about being the only female in this year’s SRC Presidential race.

Speaking in front of a vetting panel on Saturday, July 31, 2021, Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh stated that she feels honored to be the only female vying for the Presidential office of the SRC this year.

Priscilla Ayeh then called on the entire student body to support her in this year’s elections.

“I am currently vying for SRC President and the only female in the Presidential race. I am pleading with you to support me because I want to send the University of Ghana Students……. and I want our voices to be heard at the top management and in student decision making” she said.

Vice Presidential Aspirant and running mate of Priscilla Asantewaa Ayeh, Henry Quarcoopome also called on rally behind his team in the elections.

“I believe that leadership is about service and that great leadership is leadership that is characterized by service and humility and for that matter, I am here with my core tenents being service, advocacy, humility, and integrity, I believe that it is time for us as students to be served with a united front.” He said.

Among other policies, the team has promised to advocate for a review of the current resit requirements.

The Electoral Commission of the SRC is expected to announce the vetting results on Monday, August 2, 2021.
