President Nana Akufo Addo has appointed Kofi Agyepong and Jefferson Sackey to serve as deputy directors of communications at the jubilee house.
The two are going to assist the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
The office of the Deputy Director of Communications was previously occupied by the current Deputy Information Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar.
Kofi Agyepong before his appointment was the Deputy Director of Communications for the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) in charge of media relations.
Jefferson Sackey also before his appointment, was the Technical Advisor and Head of Productions at the Jubilee House.
Profile of Mr. Kofi Agyapong
Kofi Agyepong, a well-known personality in the Ghanaian media, is a political communication consultant and NPP stalwart.
He is a graduate of Leicester University in the UK, where he obtained a Master of Arts degree in media and public relations in 2019. Between 2008 and 2010, Agyepong attended the Africa University College of Communications, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies in 2010.
He previously attended Kumasi High School between 2000 and 2002, where he obtained his senior high school certificate.
As a qualified, university-trained journalist, Agyepong was a prolific writer for the Graphic Sports newspaper in Ghana and the Guardian in the UK. He is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), which is the world’s largest professional PR body.

He is a multiple award-winning Ghanaian journalist, Media Consultant, Film Maker, and PR Strategist. He is known for his quality presentation skills and commands over international issues. He was the Media Relations Officer to the current President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo while he served as Ghana’s Foreign Minister and also serves as his personal archivist. He worked as a news presenter of the Accra-based radio station Joy FM of the Multimedia Group Limited.
Sackey started Journalism in 2005 with Television Africa as a lead News Anchor. He later hosted his own global affairs show “JS International Assignment” which later became “Jefferson Sackey Reports”, a first-class news documentary production going beyond the headlines to tell stories in-depth and from many points of view.
The show which started on TV Africa got syndicated on Joy News, Ghana, and other global news channels including Afroglobal Television in Canada.
He served as the Public Relations Officer for Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2007 working closely with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, then the Foreign Minister under the JA Kufuor administration.
During the 2007 NPP Primaries, Jefferson released the documentary, “Pushing the Ghanaian and African Agenda” a feature that highlights the diplomatic and international strength of the then-candidate Nana Akuffo-Addo.
Jefferson has also worked and reported for global news firms such as CNN International as a contributor of “World View” and Deutsche Welle Television as West African Correspondent and contributor of its international affairs program “Quadriga”.
Ghana’s media giant, the Multimedia Group in 2010, signed Jefferson on as its prime News Anchor for the “Midday News” and Assisting News Editor until he relocated to Canada in 2015 where he was appointed Vice President of Afroglobal Television, Canada’s.
