Final Year Knust students to continue academic work online despite ease of restrictions

Final year Students of Kwame Nkrumah of Science and Technology will remain at home despite the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

On Sunday, 31st May 2020, President Akufo Addo gave the green light for final year students in Universities as well as Junior High and Senior High Schools to return to school starting Monday, 15th June 2020.

Following a meeting held on Thursday, 4th June 2020 by University’s Academic Board, reports indicate that KNUST has decided to continue academic work online in lieu of early directives given on measures to end the semester from home.

The decision comes at the back after the Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh directed Tertiary Institutions to use 10 weeks to make -up for academic work losses; 6 weeks for lectures and 4 weeks for examination.
