#Election Tower: Rhema Boabeng announces bid for 2020 CABESA Presidential Elections

The race to the office of the CABESA Presidency is getting heated and Hypercitigh.com can confirm that Master Rhema Jacob Boabeng has formerly declared his intention to contest for the position.
In his statement, Master Jacob Boabeng highlighted some of his accomplishments so far and the reason for contesting for the position. Master Jacob Boabeng’s motive is to break the status quo through effective leadership which involves the average student in the affairs of the College, under the under; “Making a difference”.
Below is a full statement of his communique.
Dear friends,
We are at the crossroads of our journey where a decision to chicken out means forfeiting the greater good and giving up on the strides we have made so far.
As many would know, last year (2019/2020) I availed myself to serve Art Society, but the electorate thought otherwise. Before that, I had been the Internship Coordinator for Art Society, served as the head prefect and doubled as the SRC President at Oppong Memorial SHS; won the best local SRC President of Ashanti Regional Student Representative Council (ARSRC) and the outstanding student leader of the year. This is not to embolden my confidence for the portfolio, but to assure the good people of CABESA that, with a taste of student leadership across the rank and file, given the opportunity, we are in safe hands.
We cannot pretend not to see a college that is not united, neither can we close our eyes on the problems of unstructured governance systems our college association faces.
Inasmuch as we are bedevilled with challenges, we have made some significant gains and it is my intention to lay the building blocks of the foundation that has been laid.
My desire and zeal to serve and to bring about the greater good is what has kept me going even in the face of defeat and adversity. It is about time we rewrite the story of students leadership, it is time we make a significant difference that contribute a quota to the welfare of students, it is about time a wheel of change necessitated a motion to bring greater value and progress to the thrust of student leadership. IT IS TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
My name is Rhema Jacob Boabeng, a third year Publishing student and I wish to officially make known my intentions to serve you as the next CABESA PRESIDENT

Thank You.
