Ghana’s Education Service (GES) says the ‘delayed’ 2020 BECE school placement of candidates who sat for the 2020 edition of the BECE for School and Private examination will be out Sunday, February 28, 2021.
The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa gave this assurance speaking on UTV’s Mpu ne Mpu show monitored by Educationweb.com.gh on Friday, February 26.
“We can assure parents, candidates and members of the general public that the 2020 SHS placement will be released on Sunday February 28, 2021,” the GES Director-General told host of UTV Mpu ne Mpu show.
He attributed the delay of the school placement to the unexpected outbreak and a sudden rise in the country’s locally transmitted coronavirus cases.
He said his outfit is working tirelessly with the Education Ministry to ensure a difficulty-free school placement of the 2020 BECE candidates.
The spokeswoman for the Service in a statement said her outfit is setting a call centres across the country to address the BECE school placement related issues or challenges to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) earlier announced to release the SHS placement last week Sunday but amid some technical hitches, it postponed the release date to Sunday, February 28, 2021.
