The delayed BECE school placement of public and private candidates who sat for the 30th and 2020 edition of BECE has been postponed to Wednesday, February 24, 2021, a staff of CSSPS has told Educationweb.com.gh.
The postponement comes after the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa in an exclusive interview said the placement will be out on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
But, an official of CSSPS who spoke on condition of anonymity with Educationweb.com.gh said candidates, parent and should expect the release of the much-awaited SHS placement on Wednesday, February 24, 2021,
He attributed the delay of the school placement to the unexpected outbreak and a sudden rise in the country’s locally transmitted coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) in a statement on Sunday urged candidates, parents, stakeholders and members of the general public to remain calm as it works tirelessly to ensure a difficulty-free placement.
The spokeswoman for the Service in the letter said her outfit is setting a call centres across the country to address the BECE school placement related issues or challenges to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
“GES is committed to ensuring a smooth, merit-based SHS placement process under established guidelines”, Cassandra Ampofo stated.
